Hallo all, I am a brand new ST1, wondering whether those going out at the end of GP Reg year would tweak anyting about their GP training in Wessex and whether you have pearls of wisdom for us starting. Also, did anyone ever survey opinion of people leaving the rotations? Cheers

Get your AKT early on in the Registrar post or in your hospital years . GP registrar year is a very busy one and you effectively have 9 months to bring e-portfolio and Out of Hours upto scratch. Get into doing Out of Hours work early on in the post. Try to get to 10 minutes when you are comfortable, however make sure you pursue this goal with a sense of urgency. Try to do a practice swap with a fellow registrar.

THanks Mike, Interesting points - especially the practise swap one. Was that to get a totally differenct caseload and patch up gaps in experience?
